Halfway Check-In

Hard to believe our April is half over!

Remind us all what your healthy living goal was then let us know how you feel it’s going. What are your challenges or struggles that we can help with?  What are some tips or tricks that have worked for you that you can share with us?

Frustrated w/ slow progress or how hard you have to work to put one foot in front of the other?  Every day it’s a conscious effort to just try your hardest to  make healthy choices?  Wondering when it’s going to become second nature?  Check this out:   http://www.spring.org.uk/2009/09/how-long-to-form-a-habit.php  It takes about 66 days on average for healthy decisions to become habit.  So you’ve got to give yourself at least 2 months of good decisions!

Don’t be your own worst critic.  Be your own biggest cheerleader!

  1. Hello 🙂 My healthy April goal was more strength training & more water. I haven’t done well on those, at all. But I’ve got 2 weeks ahead of me that are going to be AMAZING 🙂 Finding something good that I can celebrate, I have done better with my running this week 🙂 Getting in a run Sat, Mon, Tues, & Weds. Not very far distances, but still enough to make me feel happy & proud 🙂 This weekend is going to be GREAT!

  2. Holy Cow!! I can’t believe the month is half way over with already – CRAZY! I have been making progress in my healthy living commitment. Making quality food choices is my struggle. The success I am having is by keeping it out of my house so if I want something it isn’t easy to get to. In the past I have been an emotional eater but have really challenged that and changed that over the last 3 years. I have found habits like that rear their head when my stress relievers are taken away. I have been injured for the last 4 weeks which has limited my working out (my drug of choice). This is a continuous journey with ups and downs. Lets celebrate the ups and survive the downs. The downs are celebrated after when we look back and see the progress we made when it looked impossible. Keep climbing!
