Pace Yourself

There’s a fine line between pushing to the highest potential and burning out.  What are some things that you do to prevent burn out and to keep going strong with your goals? What keeps you consistent?

Here’s the bottom line: We are creatures of habit and change is difficult. If you can introduce small change – instead of a huge change – you’re more likely to stick with it.

Pace yourself and you’ll reach the finish line.

  1. That’s definitely true – push too hard, and you won’t enjoy it. If you don’t enjoy it, you won’t stick with it for long. When I began running, my dad gave me the following advice: “Make sure you enjoy it.” I’m focusing on making that time of day, when I jog, a moment where I can be lost in my thoughts and be away from all the other crazy aspects of a normal day. I find that I am looking forward to that time each morning more and more. If I didn’t, there’s no way I’d be able to make myself get up at 5 am…
