Good morning!  Check in here to the blog and let us know how you’ve been doing.  Did the challenge last week of listing out what you ate help your awareness of the foods you’re taking in or did it help make your food decisions a bit healthier? From what I can tell, and correct me if I’m wrong, there were 2 individuals who completely posted all of their Monday-Friday food choices on here.  Michele & Abrey are in the running for the side challenge prize of the glass Life Factory water bottle.  And the winner is by random drawing……

    I am not “weighing in” for another 3 weeks. I learned my lesson with weighing myself every week. It drove me mental not seeing the results I had hoped for. I know in my case that the type of work out regimen I am following that I am building lean muscle so that is going to weigh more, therefore I might not lose as many pounds as I’d like to see on the scale. I’ll do some measurements at that time too. So if the scale hasn’t budged much at least I should see less inches.

    Keeping track of my daily food intake has played a huge role for me too. I didn’t do it just for the side challenge last week, I have done it every day for the last 3 months. You would be surprised to see the difference in keeping track vs not keeping track. I wanted to see the difference and I logged the food that I used to eat thinking I was doing “ok” not keeping track. No wonder I kept gaining weight. That Chili’s soup and salad lunch isn’t as healthy as you might think. I use MyFitnessPal thanks to Sarah’s suggestion a couple years ago. I have used it on and off before every time I would jump on the wagon, but I use it regularly, especially since they have an app for smartphones. It makes it super easy to keep track. It works great for me.

    My check-in is a bit late here, haven’t weighed myself since end of April, but I feel good. I wore my skinny pants this week. That’s always a reason to celebrate.
