From my inbox to yours! Here’s an article from No Meat Athlete I liked about running on the treadmill. Treadmills have always been so hard for me! Mentally challenging, and harder on my hips. But after reading this, I might make myself do a treadmill tempo run once a week. Biggest takeaways from this witty article are:
- Use the treadmill for a very specific purpose (say, tempo runs); do all other workouts outside.
- To counteract the “downhill” effect of running on a treadmill, set the incline to at least 1 percent.
I love it when my body’s preferences for years are validated by other athletes 🙂 Run outside for the most part, folks! Yay for flora, fauna, & Sun!
