“We are what we believe we are” -CS Lewis
This is the thought that I have shared in my yoga classes this week. So much of our lives is spent giving voice to the negative self-talk. Tell yourself that you’re strong, brave, courageous, gentle, loving, resilient, and tranquil. Tell yourself whatever you know to be true about you. We are what we believe we are. We are who we believe we are. We are what we tell ourselves we are. Eventually through being on the mat or on the trail and inside our own head we come to really believe and embody the positive self-talk. Our bodies start to teach our minds what our hearts knew all along. You are stronger than you give yourself credit for.
