2 related thoughts for you this week in my yoga classes:
“Don’t judge each day by the harvest your reap, but by the seeds that you plant.” – Robert Louis Stevenson
“On the mountains of truth you can never climb in vain: either you will reach a point higher up today, or you will be training your powers so that you will be able to climb higher tomorrow.” -Friedrich Nietzche
Why do you get on your yoga mat?
If we are here to get fit, we aren’t going to see a miracle on the scale tomorrow morning. But we will see greater strength and endurance grow overtime into our healthiest self.
If you are here to let go of something, you won’t necessarily be care-free floating out after class. But maybe your heart will feel a little less tethered down day-by-day, and able to breathe and swell eventually.
If we are here to find peace, we aren’t going to wake up rivaling the Dalai Lama’s tranquility tomorrow morning. But we will be day-by-day less likely to store tension or feed anger.
Whatever brings you to your yoga mat tonight, know its impact is in the seeds you plant for tomorrow. The seeds of your truest self. What an incredible you that you are growing into! Be patient, my friends……
