Namaste

The word at the end of every yoga class.  Know what it means?  Means a lot 🙂

Namaste is a Sanskrit word that is a greeting & a farewell.  It means the student in me acknowledges the teacher in all things around me.  It means the light in me sees, honors, and respects the light in you.

“My soul recognizes your soul, I honor the light, love, beauty, truth, and kindness within you because it is also within me, in sharing these things there is no distance and no difference between us, we are the same, we are one.”

“I honor the place in you in which the entire universe dwells.  I honor the place in you which is of love, of truth, of light, and of peace.  When you are in that place in you and I am in that place in me, we are one.”

I have carried around these images for a long time because they are so beautiful. Let me know if you agree!  With all the differences we love and celebrate amongst ourselves, it’s nice to remember there is something incredible deep inside you that is the same as the incredibleness deep inside me.  For that we are one.
