Spring is here! Let’s dust off winter with some heart-pumping spring training. During the month of April, Prana Fitness is going to post daily one workout move or yoga pose that you can do at home, at a park, or anywhere.
April 7th: Half Lift Side-to-Side
Stand with feet a little further than hip-width distance apart. Angle feet slightly out to match the angle of thighs. Squeeze tummy strongly up to spine. Lean torso out parallel to the ground. Extend arms to the side. Keep neck long and neutral. Unlock your knees so they don’t lock or hyper-extend, keep them slightly bent. Then sweep your torso side-to-side as far as you can, level to the ground like you’re wiping your chin across a table. Keep abs super tight and up so that you’re not dumping everything into low back.
