Spring Training #8

Spring is here! Let’s dust off winter with some heart-pumping spring training.  During the month of April, Prana Fitness is going to post daily one workout move or yoga pose that you can do at home, at a park, or anywhere.

April 8th: Metronome

Stand with feet a little further than hip-width distance apart. Angle feet slightly out to match the angle of thighs.  Squeeze tummy strongly in and up towards ribcage.  Slightly tuck tailbone. Extend arms overhead, clasp hands or interlace fingers.  Keep neck long and neutral.  Unlock your knees so they don’t lock or hyper-extend, keep them slightly bent.  Then like a metronome, tick-tock your upper body side-to-side as far as you can.  Keep upright instead of leaning forward- pretend you’re standing between two panes of glass.  Keep abs super tight.
