Here are the thoughts for this past week’s yoga classes:
“For a seed to achieve its greatest expression, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, its insides come out and everything changes. To someone who doesn’t understand growth, it would look like complete destruction.” -Cynthia Occelli
This week’s message is about hope and optimism even when things seem that they’re busting open in chaotic destruction. Please take hope that just when things seem to be going all wrong, that that might be the moment you’re about to take root and grow into your greatest expression. The night is always darkest before the dawn.
Athletes are familiar with this idea- pretty good basketball players with pretty good jump shots can be coached into tossing out the window what they thought they knew about jump shots and rebuilding their jump shot technique from ground zero, to find amazing jump shots and a greatly improved talent. Golf swings sometimes need to be completely ripped apart and rebuilt from ground zero. Swimming strokes, what you thought you knew about yoga inversions, cycling technique, etc, you name it.
Be hopeful and optimistic when it seems you have to start from ground zero on something. It might just be your greatest opportunity to build it up better than it was before, more amazing than you ever thought possible, just how it’s meant to unfold, opening up a new level of awesomesauce for you. Life is oh so so sweet like that.
