Here are the thoughts shared in this week’s yoga classes:
“When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds; Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.” -Patanjali
Dormant forces? Become alive? Yes, please! What if we choose to not be a quarter-awake through life but to be FULLY-awake? What if we let ourselves be lit up with the excitement of a new dream, a passionate drive, a deep-seated purpose? I bet you’ve felt the surge of joy and energy when you brainstorm around a new idea you’re passionate about, how the ideas and details just flood into your mind and heart, how you’re racing to get it down on paper so nothing is forgotten. What if you made this a daily practice? Run, or ride, or get onto your yoga mat. Those physical activities quiet the winds and quiet the static so you can tune into the divine inspiration within you and find the great purpose or project, then once that’s found medicate. Your mind transcends and consciousness expands, then you can unleash the dormant forces and talents from within. What if we could live everyday fully lit up and alive? The world needs more of that. Certainly. And your soul needs that full expression. Most certainly.
